Kunle Ayo And Music Stars Come Together To Beam The Light

Kunle Ayo Beam The Light concert

It is not every day that established musicians come together and share a stage for the good of humanity. This is what guitarist and producer Kunle Ayo and his friends have decided to do in May 2018, in spite of a wild beast schedule associated with their status.

The list of his friends reads like the “Who is Who” of the African musical heavy hitters – Ringo Madlingozi, Oliver Mtukudzi, Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Lebo Sekgobela and a few surprises.

“There is a brain drain of experienced and talented African musicians, and that robs the continent’s young an opportunity to be groomed properly by their idols,” says Kunle Ayo.

“As an experienced African musician spending more time overseas, recording in the studio, managing media, and administrative work, one loses the opportunity to give back to the community. Sometimes even losing touch with the challenges facing the continent.”

Kunle realized this conundrum when he was on tour discussing the challenges bedeviling the continent.

Rapper Emtee starts his own TV reality music competition

Rap4Me Emtee on GauTV

Hip-hop rapper Emtee is about to take the world by storm. The rapper confirmed that he will be having his own TV reality music competition show which will air on GauTV (DStv Channel 265).

Emtee revealed that the reality show, which will be called Rap4Me, will unearth Mzansi’s next big hip-hop artist.

“I have this idea for a TV show that will discover young rap talent and also showcase them to the country. I am passionate about young talent and have tried to expose them to the industry through my new record label. This is just the next step in that,” – Emtee told TshisaLIVE early last year.

Emtee’s manager Lebo Maswanganyi said “we are still shooting the show and have been this whole week. I think we announced it a little too soon last year with no proper planning or conceptualisation. We had auditions but it wasn’t marketed properly so we didn’t have enough content. We had to go back to the drawing board and work on it again. Also, Emtee’s schedule was very busy with shows and other projects.”

“GauTV have been very supportive of the project and have been patient with us. We are looking forward to it finally being on screens,” Lebo added.

DJ Zinhle has come out to set the record straight on Sunday Sun reports that she has found love in the arms of a Namibian businessman Collin Venaani.

According to the tabloid, Zinhle and her rumoured boyfriend Collin were seen together partying at Taboo nightclub in Sandton a couple of weeks ago.

The paper’s informants claimed that DJ Zinhle and Collin were seen getting cosy with each other.

“He showers her with extravagant gifts and treats her like a queen, along with her daughter,” a mole told the paper.
However, Zinhle has come out strongly against the reports claiming that she and Collin are just friends.

“Her home project has led to a greater interest in property, décor and design, which has opened multiple opportunities for Zinhle. Collin and Zinhle have become friends through this newly found interest,” her PR manager Jessica Porter said.

Bandile speaks on how Nadia coped during the ‘No-Make-up’ image

Major League’s Bandile Mbere on Nadia Nakai no-make up photo

Major League’s Bandile Mbere says he was there to support his girlfriend Nadia Nakai who recently received social media hate after her no-make up image went viral.

Speaking to Metro FM‘s Mo Flava and Masechaba Ndlovu, Bandile said “she was very upset. I was trying to be there for her all the time. ( I even) skipped work sometimes to be there by her side. (I told her) things are going to be okay. (You know,) go to movies, take her out, make her forget what is going on on Twitter.”

He said he told her not to worry about the hate because it often came from people who were jealous of her.

“I have been through a time when social media also came and attacked me. I always tell her that she mustn’t worry about what people say, at least she is making money. She’s blowing up. She’s doing very well. Her song is doing very well. The attention is on her and people will try to bring her down. Unfortunately, it will be girls because probably those girls’ men are talking about her.”
