N8N Pays Homage To Cape Town With New Single and Video

N8N Cape Town music video

International singer and songwriter N8N pays homage to his second home in his latest single and music video Cape Town.

Released in early December of 2017 the video has already reached more than 50 000 views on YouTube.

The idea for the song came about while Nathan was working in Los Angeles with critically acclaimed producer Andre Harris (Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson, Usher, Jill Scott) and songwriter Carmen Reece (Ariana Grande). Jet lagged and overworked, Nathan found himself missing the Mother City and was inspired to pen a tribute which turned into a vibrant city anthem.

His biggest release to date, the track draws from N8N’s unique ‘raw soul’ beginnings melded with a modern pop sound. In collaboration with a local team of producers and musicians, the music video features an array of popular attractions and is imbued with the summer spirit, reminding South Africans of why we love Cape Town while inviting others to explore its shores.

It was love at first sight when Nathan first touched down in the Cape Town in 2011. Its diverse culture and pristine nature has brought him back each year, providing him with an inspiring environment to perfect his skills as a world-class entertainer.

Having shared the stage with artists such as Seal, Macy Gray, and Kool and the Gang, N8N has performed all over the world. Although based in Belgium, N8N has for the last four years dedicated a large part of his time to touring in South Africa with some of his latest singles gaining airplay on South African radio stations. Cape Town will be the first single off his new album to be released in spring 2018.

Dele Momodu and Davido have ended their controversial elongated beef at the Ovation concert.

The Ovation Magazine boss took to his Instagram to share photos from his Ovation concert while revealing in his caption that they have reconciled and are at peace again.

“True reconciliation, great joy… God bless DAVIDO… God bless DR ADEDEJI ADELEKE for his uncommon maturity… God bless the MOMODU family for that simple heart…We are a family…” – Dele said.

AKA is in hot water with SARS

AKA Twitter promoting Fill Up FNB Stadium SARS

South African rapper AKA is in trouble with the taxman. According to reports, the rapper owes the SA Revenue Service (Sars) at least R2 million.

According to legal papers he submitted. His former manager, Raphael Benza, has dragged Forbes to court, claiming the rapper owed his record company, Vth Season, at least R650 000, which should have been settled by the end of November 2017.

AKA has failed to meet the agreement that he signed with Vth Season back in July and is now claiming that is because he owes SARS.

“He [Benza] created this. As his manager, it was his responsibility to advise him about all financial and tax issues as part of his management duties, in accordance with a management agreement,” said Forbes’ lawyer, Oupa Baloyi.

Baloyi said he had to come in late last year to amend a clause in Forbes’ contract to ensure that his money was deposited in his account.

At the time, Benza did not pay Forbes 80% of his earnings, as per their management agreement. Instead, he paid the rapper a specific amount each month, like an employee instead of an independent contractor.

Asked whether Forbes had made an arrangement to pay Sars, Baloyi said: “We are in advanced negotiations with them.”

Benza told City Press “I advised Kiernan regularly to pay Sars and he told me he was paying. I never asked for proof. I trusted him. He is a grown man.”

Benza further added that he had urged AKA to make responsible financial decisions for years, but the Forbes continued to spend on assets without thinking of the long-term repercussions.
