Nasty C offers R100K reward for stolen laptop

Nasty C R100 000 reward

Rapper Nasty C is offering R100 000 reward to anyone who can help him find his priceless laptop. The laptop was taken during a house robbery at his home in Johannesburg last week.

The rapper took to Twitter on Wednesday evening to make the request, explaining that the laptop contained music he was working on for over a year.

https://twitter.com/Nasty_CSA/status/913075403211894784

Nasty C’s record label, Mabala Noise confirmed with TshisaLIVE that they decided to issue a public plea because the laptop was very important to the rapper.

“Police have been trying to locate all of the items lost in the robbery but the laptop is very important to Nasty C and so we decided to appeal to his fans for help. The reward has been set at R100,000 but it is actually priceless because it contains the music he was working on. It is a lot of music and all we want is for it to be returned,” Mabala Noise spokesperson Sikhulile Nzuza said.

He said the search was centered around Tembisa after a cellphone stolen during the robbery was last tracked to the area.

Sikhulile said the company received a lot of responses to their pleas, but majority of the replies were just chancers sending through their demos.

“We have had a lot of people contact us about the laptop but sadly most of these were just messages containing information or links to people’s demos. There have not been any solid leads yet but we are hopeful,” Sikhulile added.

Nasty C and four others were tied up and held at gunpoint at the rapper’s home in Roodekraans, Johannesburg last Wednesday. SAPS spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo told the publication that thieves made off with laptops, tablets, cellphones and a Rolex watch.

Singer Thulisile Madihlaba AKA Chomee Leaves Arthur

Arthur and Chomee

Chomee (real name Thulisile Madihlaba) hails from Dlamini, Zone 10 in Meadowlands, Soweto. The artist said she wants to focus on being an independent woman now.

Shortly after Mafokate’s drama with former 999 artist and ex-girlfriend, Busisiwe “Cici” Twala which saw her press assault charges against him and leave his label, 999 Music for Ambitious Records, Mafokate has lost yet another artist from his stable.

Speaking to Sunday Sun, Chomee, whose real name is Thulisile Madihlaba, confirmed the news, saying “I really need to learn to start doing certain things on my own. I’ve gained so much experience in showbiz, especially because I got into the industry as a kid. I don’t want to say a lot, but watch this space.”

According to Zalebs, an unnamed source reportedly told the publication that he decision was fueled by both the drama with Cici and the addition of another pretty young thing to the 999 stable after Cici’s departure.

The pretty young thing in question is Sindi Nene (pictured below) who was a top three finalist in the sixth season of Mzansi Magic show, Idols SA.

Mafokate didn’t want to say much about the matter, but his manager, Brian Mokoena was quoted as saying, “losing Chomee puts us on a back foot. But she’s been badly influenced and the sooner she realizes this, the better.”

Cici hit me with a coat hanger – Arthur Mafokate

Cici and Arthur Mafokate

Kwaito king Arthur Mafokate alleges his girlfriend Busisiwe “Cici” Thwala attacked him with a coat hanger, a steel chair and sunk her teeth into his arms in a domestic violence incident that forced him to seek medical attention.

Arthur Mafokate also said Cici grabbed a DVD player and DStv decoder, apparently to inflict more harm on him, after they rumbled and tumbled in their bedroom. He fled his house and called the police to come and rescue him from Cici’s alleged violent rage.

These shocking details are contained in an affidavit Mafokate deposed at the Midrand police station on June 14. Mafokate refused to comment and referred questions to his manager Brian Mokoena.

Mokoena said: “All I can say is that Arthur is not doing well emotionally and really loves Cici. What has happened has depressed him a lot. That is mainly because of the perception out there that he has beaten her up even though in all court papers, nowhere did Cici say that.”

Arthur Mafokate’s lawyer Dan Nakeng also declined to comment on the affidavit but rubbished reports that Mafokate had asked for mediation to resolve the matter out of court.

“This matter is under judicial consideration but I can confirm without a shadow of doubt that my client is not the one who asked for mediation. “I was approached by the complainant’s legal team on the morning of the 18th of August 2017 and they asked me to have the matter postponed for mediation as they wanted it to be resolved through mediation and I did that in good faith.

“I mentioned in court that I was approached by her legal team to postpone the matter for mediation,” he said.

According to Sundayworld, Cici could not be reached for comment. According to the affidavit, which Sunday World has seen, Mafokate said he was with Cici in his Midrand pad when they had an argument after she demanded his phone.

“I gave it to her but it was locked. Busisiwe then threw the phone back at me and said I’m making a fool of her, I must unlock it. I laughed and told her that I would never give her my phone, I would only do it the day I delete my old messages because I don’t want her to judge me,” he said.

Arthur Mafokate further said Cici then grabbed him and tried in vain to forcefully take the phone from him. They went into the en-suite shower where they wrestled further for it.

“We stood up but rolled again until we went back to where the bed is. Busisiwe then pulled the decoder and DVD. Busisiwe then calmed down and let go of the decoder and DVD player. I also let go of her because I didn’t want to hurt her.”

Mafokate said Cici then went for other items to hit him with. “She then quickly grabbed a jacket hanger. Busisiwe then kicked the jacket hanger. I told her that she is damaging the furniture. She took the jacket hanger and threw it at me. I ducked but the jacket hanger hit me on the back,” he said.

He said he ran into the shower and when he tried to close the door, Cici opened it. He said he ran into another shower but she followed him while holding a steel chair which she allegedly hit him with.

“I then held her tightly so that she could not hit me again. We wrestled again and she bit my arms,” he said.

Mafokate said he quickly ran out of the shower screaming for help, went downstairs and out of the house. He said he jumped into his car and reversed it for about 20metres.

“I heard Busisiwe screaming. I stopped the car. She came and started banging on the car windscreen while shouting.

“I slowly drove to the gate. I slowed down at the gate and pressed the remote to open so I could go out. The gate doesn’t have a sensor. I quickly drove out,” he said.

Mafokate said he was surprised when he heard Cici screaming not far from the car but drove on after not seeing her. He said he called the police and drove back to the house and found her standing next to his neighbour’s house.

He said he called an ambulance after she told him that she was injured.

When the police arrested him for assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, he told his employees to rush Cici to a private hospital and paid her medical bill.

He said when he was released on bail, he went to a doctor because he was feeling pain in his back. He then visited Cici in hospital where she told him that she was injured by a steel rod at the gate.

South Gauteng National Prosecuting Authority’s Phindi Mjonondwane said the matter has been postponed for representations.
