Exclusive Books offers a full refund to customers who bought Bonang: From A to B.
Exclusive Books have released a statement on Twitter saying that all dissatisfied customers who have bought Bonang: From A to B can return the book for a full refund.
“Exclusive Books has taken note of the public’s response to Bonang Matheba’s book. Those customers who have purchased the book and are dissatisfied, are welcome to return it for a full refund at any of our stores,” Exclusive Books said in a statement.
“It is our understanding that the publishers are proceeding with a new edition of the book rectifying the current errors which we will review and consider stocking at our appropriate time. Exclusive Books wishes to extend its apologies to any customers who were dissatisfied with their purchase.”
Thabiso Mahlape, the owner of BlackBird Books, which published the autobiography, has taken full responsibility for the errors.
“I take full responsibility for what happened. The last thing I want is for black people to be accused of mediocrity and I should do better. It’s on me as the publisher. I ought to have done better,” she said in an interview with TshisaLive.
