Lerato Marabe is well known for her role as Pretty Seakamela in the SABC1 soapie Skeem Saam. The actress has shared one unpleasant encounter with a fan.
In her recent interview with Drum Magazine, Lerato Marabe how she was once slapped by a fan at KFC.
“In high school my friends and I decided to go to KFC after school. So while we were waiting in the queue, this one lady walked up to me and slapped me across the face because of the story-line at the time,” she told the publication.
“I was so upset, I called my mother and asked her to pick me up because I just couldn’t believe it,” Lerato said.
Lerato is not the first actor or an actress to be attacked by a fan. Many actors, especially those who play villainous characters, have shared similar experiences.
Speaking about her relationship, she told DRUM, “my partner and I have been together for two years and he’s such an amazing person…he’s also one of the most patient people enough to deal with my personality.
She went on to say “he refuses to go to malls with me because so many people recognize and walk up to me, but there’s honestly nothing better than having a partner who puts in the effort to be more understanding. Effort is so attractive.”
