Former best friends Bonang Matheba and Somizi meet at the DStv Mzansi Viewers Choice awards Launch

Choreographer and radio personality Somizi ‘Somgaga’ Mhlongo and his former BFF television personality, radio host and businesswoman Bonang ‘Queen B’ Matheba seemed to be in speaking terms again.

The pair attended the DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice award launch in Sandton on Tuesday and they seemed to be playful at the event.

Matheba and Mhlongo were friends for many years before their friendship suddenly and unexpectedly ended in 2016.

In a video clip from the #DSTVMVCA launch, Bonang  can be seen opening the event and welcoming everyone. Her specially shoutout to Somizi left people shook. She said “Hello Somgaga!” which left the crowd laughing very hard.

According to several reports, Matheba told Somizi to “go mobilise your fans to vote” when the nominees for Favourite Personality of the Year were announced which included Bonang Matheba, Somizi Mhlongo, Papa Penny Ahee, Nomzamo Mbatha and Kagiso Rabada.

Somizi then replied with: “Yasss honey, hae du?” and Matheba then responded with, “Ya tsamaya!”.

Sbahle Mpisane opens her eyes

Television personality and fitness star Sbahle Mpisane has opened her eyes for the first time six days after the horror crash.

According to TshisaLIVE, Sbahle’s father Sbu Mpisane, announced via SMS that his daughter just opened her eyes: “Breaking News… She just opened her eyes,” – Sbu said via a text message.

Sbahle has been in a critical condition since the horrific accident. Her sports car ploughed into a tree on Margaret Mncadi Avenue (formerly Victoria Embankment) in Durban last week Thursday. According to several reports, paramedics had to use Jaws of Life to remove her from the vehicle after it overturned.

Police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbele said that the cause of the accident is unknown at this stage. A case of reckless and negligent driving has been opened in Durban Central police station.
