etv confirms the death of one of its longest standing cast members Sandy Mokwena who was known for his role as Bra Eddie Khumalo on etv Scandal!
Sandy Mokwena died at the age of 68 in hospital on Wednesday night of natural causes.
e.tv publicist Michael Pocock said that Mokwena was ill a few months ago but that it didn’t “raise alarms” at the time. Pocock said that the actor’s family and colleagues have been left shocked by his death.
“e.tv is deeply saddened by the news and our condolences go out to Sandy’s family and the cast and crew of Scandal! Sandy Mokwena has been part of Scandal! since the first episode which aired in January 2005,” the channel said in a statement.
Sandy was also known to have played roles in shows like Yizo Yizo & Zero Tolerance. Mr Mokwena also did numerous radio plays for the SABC.
