Former Idols SA contestant Tebogo Louw

Former SA Idols finalist and recording artist Tebogo Louw was mourning his brother when millions of people around the world were celebrating the Easter weekend holidays.

The singer allegedly lost his 36-year old brother, Mawande, after a mob justice beat him to death for allegedly stealing a TV in Stellenbosch, Western Cape on Easter Sunday.

Police spokeswoman Wynita Kleinsmith confirmed that Mawande was beaten to death while his friend remained in a critical condition in hospital.

Wynita said no arrests have been made.
