Thandiswa Mazwai Bongo Maffin

Award winning South African group Bongo Maffin are apparently in talks to reunite after 12 years of being apart according to DRUM. The group reunited recently for a television advert.

“We cannot confirm anything right now but we are in talks to make it happen and they seem to be at an advanced stage. Everyone really enjoyed working together so now it’s a case of just putting all the pieces together,” said Kalawa Jazmee boss Oskido to TshisaLive.

Oskido refuted rumors that the band members had bad blood and that they are all actually cool with each other.

The band’s only female member Thandiswa Mazwai spoke about the group in a DRUM interview recently and she didn’t seem like the group was going to reunite.

“I am not visualising a reunion any time soon,” she says cautiously. “Right now I’m working on another album that will take me to West Africa,” Thandiswa said.
