Yanga Sobetwa wins Idols SA season 14

Yanga Sobetwa was crowned the winner of Idols SA season 14 on Sunday night. The grand finale of this season was held at Carnival City on 18 November 2018.

Yanga joins previous winners Paxton Fieles, Noma Khumalo Karabo Mogane, Vincent Bones, Heinz Winckler, Anke Pietrangeli, Karin Kortje, Jody Williams, Jason Hartman, Sasha-Lee Davids, Dave van Vuuren, Khaya Mthethwa and Musa Sukwene.

Along with being crowned the winner, Yanga also walked away with a prize package worth R1.5m: R1m in cash, a Hauwei MateBook, a router and data from Telkom, a Ford Fiesta Titanium 1lite EcoBoost, R100 000 worth of fashion from Truworths, R80 000 worth of musical equipment and a record deal from Gallo Record Company.

Last week the 17-year-old Yanga recorded her first music video for her single titled “Scars”. Fans will not only get a chance to download the audio versions of her single, but also will watch her music video on the official Mzansi Magic website.

“I have my own music single and music video. I enjoyed the shoot of my music video. I thank God for this opportunity of being on the Idols stage,” said Yanga.
