No matter where you fall on the sexuality spectrum, Starbucks South Africa is proud to be there to provide that extra little something special to make your day — every day. It’s all part of the ‘people’ aspect of our 3P brand pillars that include ‘planet’ and ‘product’. And this year, for Pride Month, we’re exploring and celebrating the many personal expressions of sexual diversity.
Through a series of videos created with the help of celebrities, personalities and influencers, we’ll be building a platform for all South Africans to share what “Pride” means to them.
To help get the conversation started, we’ve produced a short ‘Pride Guide’ that outlines some of the headline achievements of the Pride Movements in South Africa, from the early establishment of gay rights to the most recent successes of the LGBTQ+ movement.
As Leah McCrae, MD of Starbucks SA, says of the campaign, ‘it’s a great way to share our pride in our humanity, our individuality, our freedom of self-expression, self-acceptance and to celebrate our respect and tolerance for each other.”
