Big Star drops new single Time Of My Life

Multi-talented creative musical genius, Big Star, is back with new music and a new sound and is having the time of his life with it.

Big Star dropped a new single, Time Of My Life yesterday as a free download and is now available on all major digital platforms for streaming and purchase here:

“We at Vth Season are very excited to see Big Star come in full bloom with his music. This album project will be one for the books,” expresses Raphael Benza of Vth Season.

“For the past few months I’ve pulled away from a lot of industry business and took it back to the music. The night I didn’t win anything at the SA Hip Hop Awards woke my mind up from a deep sleep, not because I was heartbroken about not winning but because I understood why I didn’t win… I haven’t introduced Big Star to the people, the people were introduced to me. Our music will outlive us all as long we as artists just decide to start dropping music that’s worthy of staying around,” shares Big Star.

Big Star’s Time Of My Life is about the description of his musical journey including his band as a collective. The song is a mature, toned down, effortless, jazz infused sound with an element of nostalgic old school Hip Hop. The track has a classic feel about it proving that Big Star is amongst the few “new school”, fearless, Hip Hop trail blazers to explore alternative sounds when putting together a body of work for music lovers.

The passing of the legendary jazz icon Hugh Masekela was the motive behind Big Star selecting this song as the first offering from his upcoming album titled Me&Mines, to commemorate, honour and show respect to Bra Hugh Masekela’s legacy.

Already the most downloaded song on Slikour On Life this week since it’s drop yesterday, make sure to get your hands on the track!
