Khanyi Mbau is one of the country’s most prominent television personalities. The star started her career on SABC 2’s hit soap Muvhango back in 2004 and has gone on to host shows like The Scoop and The Big Secret while racking up quite the acting portfolio. Khanyi has also added author and radio host to her resume over the past few years proving that there is nothing that she can’t tackle. The winner will make it to the finals where they will compete against the smoootest fans of the other celebrity contestants where, after another round of games, the two top contestants will go head to head to win R250 000 cash and a Honda Amaze!

Five Minutes With Khanyi Mbau:

What attracted you to a show like Tropika Smoooth Fan?

What I really like about the Tropika Smoooth Fan concept is that the show is for the fans, by the fans. My brand isn’t what it is today because of just talent alone but also because of the people who support it. I always ask what’s the use of acting if no one switches on the TV. My fans play a very big role and element of my brand growth and me as a person and this is a way to give them a bigger glimpse into me as a person.

Last week, the sensational Idols hopeful Sobetwa Yanga gave a sizzling performance and the BET award winner was impressed with the rendition and tweeted that he is ready to work with her, whether she wins or loses.

“This Is Amazing @SobetwaYanga ipeni lami li ready sengiyozwa ngawe and good luck for the show whether you win or loose (sic)” – he tweeted.

Yanga’s rendition of Sjava’s song was just as emotionally charged as the original. She gives tribute to women who were done wrong at the hands of the men that they trusted. These include Sarah Baartman, Reeva Steenkamp, Karabo Mokoena and Cheryl Zondi.

According to Zkhiphani, Impilo is taken off his album Isina Muva, the gold version. It is one of the 3 songs added to celebrate the album reaching gold status. The song brings awareness to the recent surge of femicide in the country over the last few years. Sjava whose real name is Jabulani Hadebe is pleading with the men in society to protect our women and take their cries of help into account.
