Oliver Mtukudzi released a remix for “Neria” which features Multiple Grammy award winners Ladysmith Black Mambazo as a standalone single.

Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi is a Zimbabwean musician, businessman, philanthropist, human rights activist and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Southern Africa Region. Tuku is considered Zimbabwe’s most renowned and internationally recognised cultural icon of all time.

The video was shot in South Africa and embraces the beauty of our landscapes.

“It’s always a pleasure to work with Ladysmith Black Mambazo, we have managed to give new life to a song that already has a life of its own,” – Oliver Mtukudzi said.

The hard working musician is currently performing globally promoting his 67th album titled “Hanya’ga – Concern”. Currently his second single titled “Shiringinya” is receiving support on national radio stations across the country.

Cassper Nyovest’s Family Tree company partners with Universal Music Group

Cassper Nyovest sweet and short kwaito album

Local rapper Cassper Nyovest, whose real name is Refiloe Maele Phoolo, has partnered with Universal Music Group to release forthcoming kwaito album.

The owner of Family Tree Cassper had a flourishing career as an independent artist. The deal will see the group help Cassper with the release and distribution of his upcoming album.

His newest single, Sponono Sam, will also drop this Friday, November 16 and and the album called Sweet & Short will be released on the 1st December at Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban.

The star also took to social media to announce that his fans have been asking for a kwaito album and he decided to release his first Kwaito inspired offering.

“The kwaito sound has been very influential in My music and for a very long time fans have asked for a full kwaito project. I finally gave in and decided to keep it sweet and short, nice and simple. #SweetAndShort dropping on the 1st of December at Moses Mabhida (sic),” – he tweeted.

South African recording artist, Ntokozo Mdluli, better known as KO Mr CashTime, has announced that he has partnered with branded fashion clothing and footwear retailer, Studio 88.

The partnership will help KO to distribute his clothing line Skhanda World to more potential customers.

Taking to Instagram to announce the news, the former member of the rap trio, Teargas, said: “Look at God!
For the longest of time me and Tsholo have had distribution limitations with my clothing line Skhanda World and now through blessings that led to other blessings Studio 88 has just opened its doors for us! (sic).”

“Super humbled by this humongous opportunity as black entrepreneurs, our sincerest gratitude goes out to every key player BTS who contributed to this empowering turn of events (sic),” – he added.

The CashTime Life record label owner also said that brand new Skhanda World summer collection is set to hit the shelves on 23 November exclusively at the local retailer’s stores.

Mzekezeke is back

Kwaito artist Mzekezeke, who is believed to be DJ Sbu, says he won’t take off his mask and wants to take his brand abroad.

Mzekezeke, whose real name is Zakhele from Tembisa says the mask will never be off as it is his signature. The Kwaito star is popularly known by his trademark mask and orange overall.

Speaking to SunBuzz, the popular masked-man said he feels like he won’t be Mzekezeke anymore if he takes off his mask.

“I will never take it off trust me; have you ever seen Spider man with their mask off. This is a legacy I am building for my brand and people must just get used to it,” he told Daily Sun.

He went on to say that the truth is anyone can be Mzekezeke. He is just like a fictional superhero, there will be someone to carry my character’s legacy to the next generation.

Local artist Seneziwe Sanelly, better known as Moonchild Sanelly, has revealed that she will be opening a Naked Club on her birthday on November 20, where she will be performing naked.

The 29-year-old singer also said that people coming to the party will be required to be naked too. No journalists, media, phones or cameras will be allowed in the venue to protect people’s privacy.

Although Moonchild insists that the club won’t be a brothel, she told Isolezwe that: “People going to it will be friendly…people. It will also sell sexually explicit material and engage in sexual orientation.”

She further told the publication that she got the idea for a naked club while she was overseas and thought South Africa would appreciate it.

According to the Citizen, the musician also stated that she will also use opening night to show people the difference between her sex club and a prostitution den.

Cassper Nyovest started the internship programme as a means to pay it forward and equip young people with tangible skills across various event disciplines.

This year’s Fill Up Internship Programme will be open to Durban residents only. Anyone 18 years old and above may apply. The application process will be done via interviews. Interested candidates need only bring along their IDs and attend the interview session. The following departments will be interviewing for interns: Operations, Talent Operations, Logistics, Accreditation, Hospitality & Catering, Merchandise, Marketing, PR and Sponsorship.

  • Date: Saturday, 17 November 2018
  • Time: Interviews will take place between 10am and 3pm
  • Location: Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban

The #FillUpMosesMabhida Internship Programme will run from Wednesday, 28 November 2018 until Friday, 30 November 2018. All interns will also be required to attend the concert on Saturday, 1 December 2018 to apply their learnings.

This follows a successful tour of their Joyous 22 “All for You” album which was concluded on a high note at the Sun Arena, Time Square in Pretoria recently.

DJ Sbu whose real name is Sibusiso Leope has announced that he has released another book titled “The Art of Hustling: Sell or Surrender.”

The book was released this past Wednesday.
