The River actress Larona Moagi is a proud graduate. The actress recently announced that she has completed her BA Law Degree from Wits – University of the Witwatersrand.
Larona, who plays Itumeleng Mokoena on The River, was juggling being a full-time law student and her acting career. Speaking to W24 in an interview last year, the rising star told the publication that she auditioned for One Magic’s The River in 2017 and she was just trying her luck. The only drama background she has is participating in high school plays.
Moagi, who plans to do her post-grad studies, told Peoplemagazine in her recent interview that she actually graduated in March.
Taking to Instagram to announce that she bagged a law degree, Larona wrote: “What a great achievement this is for me. Through the good & the bad I got through it. I couldn’t have done it without my friends & family & everyone else who walked this journey with me. Remember that through hard work, dedication and by the grace of God, anything is possible.”
Larona Moagi admitted that balancing both her career and school isn’t easy, but one has to make it work. “You need to prioritize and keep focused. On days that I’m not working, I push as much schoolwork as I can. There’s also not much going out during the weekends,” she told W24.
